I began to write in 1981 as a catharsis for my grief over losing my teenage daughter to a drunk driving vehicular homicide. This led to a 25 year career in journalism, fiction and non-fiction short story writing, slice of life, humor and my own commentary column. My first book, a memoir of my loss, . . .AND THE WHIPPOORWILL SANG, was publishedI recently by Lightsword Publishing. Presently, I continue doing short pieces, speaking about Drunk driving for MADD functions and have joined the Red Hat Ladies's Society in a further effort to both promote my book--a deathbed promise to my child--and serve my community.
