Dedication for Channon Christian & Chris Newsom

Knoxville, TN

On the cold night of January 6, 2007 an horrific crime was committed against a beautiful couple in Knoxville TN. On this night Channon Christian (21) and her boyfriend, Chris Newsom (23) were carjacked, then held hostage, tortured and raped, then murdered.

My heart goes out to the parents:

To the parents of both wonderful children, I am sure they would say to you:

Dear Mom & Dad,

We are fine here in heaven. It is so peaceful and calm. We walk hand in hand, sharing our love just like we did on Earth. Please be strong and carry on. We love you and shall always live through you.

I want to dedicate this blog to Channon and Chris and to their parents.

The love a parent holds for their child is unconditional so the pain shall remain until they meet again.

I ask everybody to stop for a moment of prayer for Channon, Chris, and their parents.

Out of the four people who committed the murder has just been found guilty. I am so thankful. Channon and Chris are smiling down, knowing that justice will be served. I know Channon and Chris walk with their families each and every day. The love they shared is so visible when the parents speak of them.

This is just one of the saddest things, ever. It just proves that demons do walk this earth in human form--but I believe angels do, too. So tragic for the parents and families of these young people. I have a daughter 22 and a son 19-- I cannot imagine the heartache and grief that the parents and families are going through since that happened. It will never go away, and it will never end. Walk in peace, Chris and Channon. And may the families also come to have a measure of peace, as well.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I totally agree with Cheryl. The pain will never go away. I know Channon and Chris are walking in the spirit world, smiling and looking down, watching over their parents.
